Giuseppe your project has motivated me to start preparations for building some clones in the new year. The 4333 or the L300 followed by the 4355.

Hi Ian, I see that my idea to reply a JBL 43xx is great! I live in a little village in the province of Vicenza, Veneto, near to Venice. Many years ago, there was a recording studio close to my house, the studio monitor was a couple of JBL 4350… love blossomed immediately. During the years I designed and built a clone of JBL 250 in in solid walnut wood, I purchased and restored a pair of Klipschorn and two pairs of La Scala. Now I want to reply the JBL 4355 but without foam woofers. I’m lucky because my woodworker worked for two famous brand of manufactures italian speakers (I can’t say the names) and I have a friend very very good in assembling passive crossover and testing loudspeakers.
I saw the crossover that you suggest me but in my dreams there is the Bryston 10 B first, I own a Behringer DCX2496, I prefer analog. The problem is to find a Bryston 10 B in Italy!

    Giuesppe,

Sorry but i won't reply to the private message you sent me requesting my help in finding a Bryston 10B for you. I gave you some info and suggestions in post # 100 and you didn't even reply to this (its not the first time either), so why should i spend time to help you on that? Moreover, in post #102 you said "I have probably found a Bryston 10B", and no other news given about this.

You need to do your own due diligence with any potential 10B. Not my reponsibility, being your dream, you have to assume and work in proportion of a dream.

On the other hand since its X-Mas day, well consider the following as a gift from Santa Claus living in Canada...

For any Canadian unit keep in mind the operating voltage, 120V/60 hz or so here, and Italy may have 220V/50 hz or so (though an older JBL document listing voltages for most countries says Italy has the following: 110, 120, 127, 150, 160, 220V/50 hz). Compatibility could be an issue, unless the 10B is already configured for multiple voltage/hz operation?, and the proper AC plug is found.

On the currency exchange aspect of a Canadian purchase you being in Euro this is favorable to you. Shipping cost may be another story depending on the 10B location and its distance from you.

YUP, This is the real one, Canadian Defence Dept tracks Santa Live from the North Pole on his way to every home now...

Solen is a Bryston dealer, this is just to show Canadian pricing on a new 10B... No, thank you for me!

A 1-minute search on Canada's kijiji.ca revealed the following 10B presently for sale in Victoria, BC. This is around Vancouver, Canada. Showing these pics is not an endorsement from me of that particular unit.

I finally found the Bryston 10b in Italy, but my project is processing slowly. I have had serious health problems and am still a little sick.

Hi, I am healed but I have not recovered 100%. Next week I hope to eventually be able to test the speaker and be able to have the crossovers. In any case I want to bi-amp it and I would like a Bryston amplification to match the 10b. A friend lends me a Bryston 4BSST power amp for woofers and I would have found a Bryston 2BSST for upper routes, the preamp is an ML 38 (which I own). The two amps are second hand. What do you think?

    Dear Giuseppe,

IÂ’ve done this already here in Italy (Lucca)
Mine have 100% original components 2235 H 2202H 2441 2405H except the xover which was kindly made to specs by another forum member, Guido from Germany.

I bi amp them with two Crown I Tech 5000 HD.

    The result is Magnificent!

I have more pics if you want
