    Altec 19 factory cabinet finish

Hello all, I'd wondered if someone might be able to tell me how these Altec cabinets we're finished at the factory. I have a pair of model 19s in Walnut that I have stripped and preparation for refinishing. I understand that they were advertised as hand oil rubbed. Any historical Insight would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Hi there!

I don’t have an answer to your question, sorry.

One thing we don’t have here is a preponderance of people who will chime in when they don’t have an answer just to see themselves in print. Someone will come around to it I bet.

I just wanted to say howdy and welcome you to the Lansing Heritage site.

By the way it looks like you are in my home town.

Share a picture or two if you get a chance, we love to see what others are working on.

    All the best!
    Barry.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.
