Hello folks. I currently own a beautiful pair of Altec 19’s and have an opportunity on a pair of Jbl 4435’s. Are the Jbl much better than the Altec or comparable. Thank you for any input.

I think the 4435 has very deep bass response. I think it is the best deep bass of any JBL speaker. It is certainly a more professionally made cabinet. I would imagine on any test bench the 4435 would perform much better. Probably better specs in every category for the 4435. I do like the fast Altec 416-8b woofer. Both are great speakers. Just different.
And I assume the 4345 is no slouch by comparison, either?Originally Posted by 4345
