Are D-123As effective replacements for D-122A/126A in Jubal L-65s ?

Looking at a set of L-65s that have Pyle after-market 12" replacements. Have a spare set of D-123As and would like opinions on the efficacy of using them in the L-65s vice D-122As or D-126As. I have successfully used D-123As in both L-100Ts and L-100T3s. But never in the only pair of Jubals that I owned years ago. Any advice about appropriate JBL replacement drivers for the Pyles would be greatly appreciated.

JBL's recommendation for replacement woofer in all versions of the L65 is the 128H-1. You won't get enough low-end out of a 123A.
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers
