Info On The 052TI/035TI replacement tweeter from The Speaker Exchange

Does anyone have experience with the hard dome 052TI/035TI replacement tweeter from The Speaker Exchange? I want to buy a pair but there's not much info on it and the Speaker Exchange seem to be the only ones producting them. They do note on their website that it's a 052ti replacement but uses a "different brand high performance hard dome tweeter and adapter mounting plate". I'm wondering how accurate this replacement is to the original? Does it sound the same, worse, better? And how does it compare to the 035ti replacement offered by Simply Speakers?

Let me know if you guys have used them and how they preform.

they probably sound fine, but a different sound than the titanium originals.

why go for a repro ? 035's are not that rare to find. Used in many models.

Ya, there are a good amount of 035s listed but I've read that the 052ti is superior; they're much harder to find though.

033 from L110As. One of the 033s broke (the thin wire that connects to the diaphram severed), so I decided it was a good time to build a modified version of the N110A (on a new board) that allows for an upgrade from the 033 to the 035/052 (see this post https://audiokarma.org/forums/index....pgrade.369720/).

Now I need the actual tweeters to install into the cabs.

I've seen pairs of 4408As for sale for less than the cost of the two 052s.

". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

Looks like they sold years ago. Good idea though.
