JBL D-130F Surround Dope, 2 types?

I recently purchased two (original?) JBL D130F . Both have a heavier surround dope as compared to the oil type surround dope of Harvey Gerst.
I am posting two photos... were both types of surround dope used by JBL? Hoping the ones I purchased are factory done.

Both used by the factory. The rubber coating was used later. The markings on the rear of the cone might reveal where they were done.

Your first one is basically useless.

Upper Photo or first photo was only used as an expample of the Gerst oil type...not mine, thank god!

The ones I picked up are both like the bottom photo, what you are calling the rubberized edge cone # 21057 ... no other marking. One has a number stamped on the back of mag and an extra number stamped into the labe/tag.

Good factory part number on the cone. The extra serial number stamped is a mystery. Maybe a factory rework done under warranty? Don't know.
