    Upgrade C37 to 3 Way

    Merry Christmas fellow JBLer's...

Can someone tell me what crossover would be required to add a LE175 driver for midrange to make a 3 way system to a C37 system that currently has a 2 way D130 and 075 (both 16 ohms)?

I looked around in the library but didn't see the driver system load option paperwork... can someone direct me to that document, you know the paper that shows all the different driver loads that would come in C37 or other models?

    Thanks for your help!

I hope your all staying healthy and haven't gone COVID crazy yet!

You would want to use the N1200 crossover and replace the existing N2400 with an N7000 between the horn and the tweeter.

But know that the D130 was not used with the 175/horn. It was the 130A which is a bit different.

I came up with a free LE175DLH decades ago and added it to my 030 system in a C37. It would ideally use a 130A but works fine with a D130 to fill a bit of the "hole" between it and the 075. Just don't expect any drastic improvement since the D130 is considered an extended-range driver already, and certainly don't expect any extension of the low-end performance.

I believe there are a couple of threads here about building a simple N7000 crossover circuit. And don't get too hung up on the 16-ohm labels on your drivers.
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers
