    JBL L110A comparing to JBL L100, L26, L19A

I have JBL L110A and like them so much, but noticed that the above mentioned L100, L26, L19A speakers have a slightly more high tones when reproducing music. Do these speakers sound bright, and the L110A sounds neutral as I read in some threads and that is the reason?

    PS:
Everything is OK with the drivers and crossovers in L110A, they measured well and they are in mint condition.

    Hi Vrobec,

I think you are right. I had a pair of the two-way L26 around mid 70's. What i got from these speakers was mostly bass and treble (less mid), both somewhat exagerated, the west coast sound of the time.

The little cone tweeter on L26 wasn't a master of detail/finesse, highs sounded a little peaky. The three-way L110A having a mid and a dome tweeter, which probably goes higher in the spectrum than the cone tweeter did, plus having increased sound dispersion in the room, had to be a better balanced speaker than the L26. Regards,

    Richard
