    As long as it has a centrifugal governor, should hold speed OK.
    The more I look at it, the more I like it

    Seems there was a DIY speaker system depicted here a few years ago with a similar steam-train (if not punk) kind of vibe.

    oh oh, when was Phonocut announced? I'm waiting for my next Christmas present. Maybe a lump of vinyl?

    Looks to be an oscillating cylinder steam engine. While simple in design, they are probably not the best for wow and flutter specs.
