    JBL L82 Classic

I thought I'd posted this here, but I cannot find it, so if this is redundant one of the mods can fix it. I did post the picture over at AVS.

JBL introduced the L82 Classic—8" woofer two-way—"82" get it? It's part of the Classic Line like the L100 Classic. They'll cost around $2,500 a pair when available in April. Street price might be just under $2k.

Here's a picture showing the comparative size of each.

It has that cute little "Quadrex" grille too... ah shucks.

Who knows, it may be a decent performer and fit into today's homes where people find the classic "bookshelf" speaker of yesteryear as waaaay tooo BIG!

Thanks for sharing, I haven't been keeping up with Harman.

just can't see what the target demographic of this is ... the new L-100 is building on a very popular classic, but an L82 ??? updated ....L-46 ?

The L100 Classic has been a tremendous success for us delivering on the promise of JBL sound and the romance of the vintage aesthetic,” says Jim Garrett, Senior Director, Product Strategy and Planning, Luxury Audio. “With the L82 Classic, we have a product that evokes the same instantly recognizable design and revered sound quality, and yet it does so with a considerably smaller physical footprint. We expect these to be a hit with music lovers who desire the attributes of the L100 Classic in a more compact size.”

nice to see same veneer pattern on each of them.
