Received this little monitor today. It plays incredibly well considering the size.

Have a pair of 308P Mk 2 and like them as well. Where do you have yours? Mine are used in my office system with a subwoofer.

    Office system without a subwoofer.

Is enough bass. But probably depends on location.

    Test on Audio Science Review

The 305P Mark ii has good heft and feel to it for a budget priced monitor

I enjoyed my LSR305s so much when I got them, I bought another pair I really don't need. Pretty incredible sound—small package or not!
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

Have a pair of 308P Mk 2 and like them as well. ... Mine are used in my office system with a (LSR310S) subwoofer.
Caught a pair of the 8" version on crazy sale and free shipping at BHphoto with the sub (helps).
    (sale was -very- brief)

Using as nearfields on stands driven by an old firewire MOTU Traveler interface (faux home studio aspirations). Big velcro straps have kept the monitors on the stands (tight quarters and nearby equipment).
Left the settings at nominal (so far). Sub "club eq" setting was a bit much for me, but adding the sub does warm things up for casual listening.

Will likely be playing with placement as I have time (speakers -and- 'furniture'); currently a very small equilateral triangle with a 32" monitor set back a bit between the 308s.

    Good enough for now

    Hello Grumpy

How do you like the sub?? Does it have real reach to below 30Hz or is it "music only". I don't use the matching sub I run my pair through an M552 for my crossover and use line level in to an older Polk sub.

Let me give it a more serious run through with appropriate source material and get back.
It’s caused a few surprising room rattles, but no real measurements yet.

So yes, it breaks into the high 20s low 30s re usability.
Drops like a rock below that (expected).
(pink noise -> iPhone AudioTools LF-range FFT average)

Could eke out a bit more bass in a corner, but then I’d feel I’d want to EQ, whereas now, I don’t.

Thanks Grumpy! This one too usable to about 25Hz which is just fine for me.

Nice!... yeah deeper bass would probably just muddy the waters (so to speak) re monitor usage, and make for a much bigger box and/or amp.
I was looking at the intermediate 306 version, but these came up on crazy sale last month, and my available space allowed for the 308s so...
