Does a PBN M2!5 SHARE DNA with the M2?

PBN speakers seem familiar, for some reason. Website mentions charge-coupled xovers and Symmetrical Field Geometry woofers. https://pbnaudio.com/m25-loudspeaker/

    David,

I believe they use JBL components with their own crossover, LF's are 2235's I think, and the HF driver is the D2. Charts look very good. How much they cost?

Here is another thread speculating about them... I think there may have been a DIY thread about them too.

Personally I find the impedance plot a little suspect. The speakers appear to be ported, but the classic bass reflex impedance saddle is nowhere to be seen or the higher frequency portion is too low for the 2235H. (Compare with the 4333B plot)

The woofer in the photo doesn't have a 2235 surround.

Yeah, this holds true for the M2 pics. They feature the 2216Nd woofer. The M2!5 woofers definitively are 2235H's, as they state it on their website. I'm not sure where from they source them as new parts, though.

    Best regards!

The horn is flipped 180 degrees. Why? Is that little lip on the top of the M2 irrelevant to PBN?

I suppose it makes little difference performance-wise, but, still, why the flip? Maybe they wanted to stencil the name at the top to make it "different."

Visual differentiaion? Horn a smidgen closer to the top woofer? Worked -way- better than 180º around either other major axis.
