I bought awhile back what was to be a pair 2123H 8ohm but after looking closer the cone is maked 66287 . 66287 is the J ? i put a ohm meter on it and it reads 4.8 ohms across the leads ? what do i have ?

Thanks Rob that makes my day complete
i have been searching the forum for the 4430 and 4535 hf crossover diagram schematic replacing the 30ohm rheostat replaced with the 8ohm L pad does anyone who where its at ?
If you just pick the correct two terminals on an 8ohm L-pad, you'll have a variable resistor (low ohms to ~40ohms)
Yes, but it'll work the other way round (0 ohms when fully CCW, 40 ohms or even off when fully CW).
In this thread I've shown how to modify a L-pad to work properly as a rheostat.
Best regards!
