I'm trying to find a decent place to buy single songs online. Mp3 format is OK, because I just need these single songs for stuff my band wants to learn - fidelity is secondary. And I need to be able to get them to an audio CD to play in a stereo.

I purchased a few from Apple's iTunes and would be perfectly happy with that except for the fact their format is .m4p and even though Apple says I should be able to create audio CD's from them all I get is an "unknown error" when following their instructions for doing this, and their support is almost useless. I could not find any reliable conversion software to get these .m4p files into a format I could use - all I can do is listen to them on the computer with the iTunes software.

I don't want any sites that require paid subscription, etc. All I want is a place where I can get single tunes for $1 or less about 3-4 times a month, with a good selection.
