    DR8044TI Diaphragm NOS

I bought some 076 diaphragms on eBay, but the seller sent me one of these by mistake. The foam has disintegrated but everything else looks good. Is this still useable without the foam? I'm wondering what I should do with it, the seller hasn't replied to me yet.

    Opinions:

I'd wait to see what the seller says before doing anything.

Other than the box, there's perhaps only a bit more value in the "new" Ti diaphragm than there would be for a very clean, unabused used one.
... kind of like buying an "NOS" cone kit then having to put a new surround on it. Nice to find in unused condition (fewer unknowns), but still a bit of work.

It fits a L250TI, so at least it for a popular speaker that I will never own. I probably will never own a 076 either, but there is a lot better chance that I will.

I have $75.00 in to it, so I will probably be able to get my money back by selling it.

The seller hasn't replied to me yet, he is from Dubai.

More opinion: the 076 diaphragm is likely worth much more than the 044Ti (I am quite familiar with both drivers). Very much worth the trouble of trying to get what you paid for.
