To buy JBL 4312D or JBL L7 ?

Hello, my name is Rodolfo and I'm new to the forum, I write from Argentina.
I currently have a Focal Aria 906 and some Altec Lansing 95 and are moved by a Bel Canto s300i amplifier (300 wats in 4 ohms and 150 in 8 ohms).
I'm looking to acquire one of these two models of JBL, my listening room is a library of about 16 m2.
    What can you recommend me?
I read good reviews in this forum of both boxes.

    - JBL L7
    - JBL 4312D

Both in excellent state of conservation, although the 3312d are newer than the L7.
I mainly listen to Rock and Pop.
    I await your comments.
    Thank you!
    Rodolfo.

    You are wellcome!
I think L7 is more suitable for your Rock&Roll.

that's true. What scares me a little about the L7 is because of the size of the room. And that I can only solve when I have them in it.Thank you!

    I've had L7's and original 4312's.

Much preferred the L7's sound, couldn't get past the burnt ash
black appearance. Very punchy, fine for rock.

I agree. The L7's are not attractive, and need proper placement. But with proper amplification they will sound MUCH better than 4312's. And they are set up for bi amping, so you can improve the sound for years to come!

The only caveat with the L7 is that you can't have your audio "shrine" in between the L7s because of the side-firing woofers. Other than that, I've mentioned for a decade now that their placement issues are overblown. I have two pair and have run them in a small room, sometimes very close to a back wall, and their amazing imaging doesn't really seem to suffer from room size, compromised spacing, etc. And they have much better bass than any of the 12-inch three-ways.

I think the L7 is one of the best used bargains in the JBL universe.
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

I agree w/Phil , the L7's that I had seemed to work well in any location that I moved them to. and they can be positioned with woofers facing in or out. I did not hear a great difference either way.

They usually are a great bargain, tho I don't know your local market, but if the same price as the 4312's,,,then no contest.

Downside ?? heavy & ugly , tho I have seen pics of them re-veneered or stripped and refinished and even split into 2 box solutions that addressed the appearance problems.

Thank you all for the comments! The balance is tilted towards the L7.
With respect to the rack with the equipment in the middle, I think there would be no problems if the L7 are more advanced in the room.
    Is this correct?

Hello, I tell you that a while ago I went to see the L7 and they were not aesthetically as in the photo. So I gave up the purchase. Greetings.
