I'd be most grateful if any owner of the JBL DMS-1 monitor could help me out with some information about the original factory cabinet.

I'm working on a DIY version of the DMS-1.

I've got the 2450SL compression drivers (not, unfortunately, the 2450SL-A), the 2332 horns, and have reconed four 1400Pro drivers as 1400Nd with cone kits acquired from The Speaker Exchange in Florida.

1. JBL gives the external dimensions of the cabinet (36" H x 23" W x 20.75" D), but it would be best to know the exact internal dimensions and therefore the panel thicknesses used. I'm guessing the original cabinet uses MDF panels, but I'd prefer not to guess!

2. The four ports look like they're all 4" diameter, but it would be good to have that confirmed and, of course, to know the length (assuming they're all the same length).

3. Is the cabinet one single enclosure inside? Or are the woofers in their own separate sub-enclosures?

4. It would also be great to know what type and thickness of damping material is used inside the cabinet.

Thanks in advance! Joel.
