Subwoofer bug again

Still kicking thoughts around of buying a decent sub for my HT setup
Right now running L100T's for the main
JBL 230's for the surround
N series for the center
Pioneer VSX-1131
Pioneer Atmos speakers
looking at the HSU VTF-2MK5 or VTF-3 MK5 HP
Never used a subwoofer before, my thinking is the sub will take some load off the L100T's and the Pioneer.
