    Altec 770a worth rebuilding?

I have 2x altec 770a amplifiers. One is functional and one is not. They are in really good cosmetic condition considering they are about 45 years old.

The local repair store quoted something way out of what I think would be worth spending on a rebuild.

Do these amps have a following? Any idea about their value?

Old thread but what the heck. I love these little bi-amps and have repaired, restored and maintained at least a dozen. I have a pair of 771Bs. What's the issue with the non-functioning amp?

It appears that Jim hasn't visited the site since April. You should shoot him a PM.

    Good Luck!
