    2245h what should I do?

I have 2 2245h baskets. They are in good shape. No rust. However, one need the magnet aligned/centered. Not sure why it's off center. I got them with blown cones and removed them. I was planning to re cone them but never got around to it.

My question is, should i spend $220 to re cone the pair myself (I've done a few drives and am comfortable doing it) or sell them as is?

I dont ever see myself using them. I was going to use them for a HT sub but I don't th8nkbthey will excell in that role. To little excursion right?

    Thanks for any advice guys.

Since JBL seems to have decided to no longer support their legacy drivers and have not continued to produce 2245 recone kits, I think it would be very difficult to find the correct parts to return your drivers to spec.

As to whether or not the 2245H is suitable for a home theater, this depends on room size and your SPL expectations.

Great Plains Audio is now a vintage JBL repair station. I'd check with them. They do outstanding work on vintage Altec, so I'm guessing that will extend to JBL as well.

Perhaps ping Gordon W., he rebuilds these and they're close to, if not spot on, spec

At one point, I believe forum member Edgewound also had assembled parts to form a proper 2245H recone kit.
So yes, quite a few options for those attempting to maintain this particular driver.
