    2420 foam

    Hi everybody! I have sticky and rotten foam in the back cover of the driver. Shure I want to remove it but by what type of foam and were to easely find it.

    You used to be able to order it from JBL Pro?? Maybe an authorized service facility??

    Thanks. i’ll Call Solotech in Montreal... It is 4 1/2 diameter by 3/8 inches thick...

    I used cotton batting worked great. I will add to take the diaphragm off carefully and clean the head under the diaphragm both of mine was caked up very badly.

    You can get the foam at any foam shop. Sticky one side, 10mm, closed cell. Pretty cheap, maybe $10 for 3ft square. Cut to size including screw notches, clean off old with alcohol and stick on.
