Odd LE15 engraved B and Engraved Ohms Foam Surrounds

I have an odd ball pair of Jbl speakers that have an engraved B and 16ohm version of model LE15 plus it's got foam surrounds. Was told it's very rare and desireable. Normally the 15a supposed to have foam but 8 ohms. The le15b is supposed to be accordion surround and 16ohm. Im a bit confused what's supposed to be what. Can't find any info on the Le15b that's 16ohm with foam surrounds. Has anyone here ever listened to these in cabinet settings? This is not a 2216a or 2215. They are a combination of both maybe?

    Vinny,

If what you have are Le15a woofers you'll want to use larger compression drivers ( than the le100s / 2410 ) currently in your possession.

The Le15a woofer needs to be crossed over low ( like 600-700 hz ) which is really too low for the 2410 driver .

Le 15 typed with B stamped next to it and 16ohm stamped not typed in.
What do you suggest for mid horn/horn to use

Altec 288-8K drivers go low enough on the proper horns to meet up with a JBL le15a.

Emilar H500 radials go low enough ( just ) to make a 700hz crossover point.

The Yuichi 290s would work for sure ( but one usually needs to make those for himself ) .

Altec MantaRay horns are huge and not very well suited for inside listening ( just due to their size , IMO ).
