Altec A7 with 3/4 inch plywood cabinet.

    Hello Lansing Heritage,

I just bought a pair of 7A. The cabinet is made of 3/4 inch plywood. It has split back panels, 416-8A woofer, 806-8A HF driver and 811B HF horns. I thought the specs were 5/8 inch plywood or 5/8 particle board. The cabinet looks to be 50 years or more.

Factory often used what they had and didn't always adhere to specs.

Not to mention that there must be more replicas than originals anyway. ;-)
