    If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

    If you look at the enlarged picture of the 2452H, it says on the side of it "Professional, Northridge, CA USA". Barely missing the JBL name and logo. And there's a typo in impedance...

    Grey market or outright copy? Since product origin is given as Guangzhou, China and no JBL name or logo then is appears as product theft with very little restraint...

    The Chinese just won't stop amazing me!

    I got 2 of them.
    They sound better than Faital Pro 12PR300 and have famous JBL tone, but cost me $200 each including shipping.
    Didn't compare it to original JBLs though.

    How can they go "SO" close - even making their own certificates! - this just CANNOT be legal..???

    But what 'can' be done?

    Colleagues;

    The Commies are good at theft and copying. Any one remember the John Walker submarine secrets theft? or stealing atomic bomb secrets? The Soviets also reverse engineered a B-29 that made an emergency landing, and then built 800 copies of them. What they can't figure out on their own they will just steal.

    This coping of JBL products by a foreign entity may seem like small potatoes compared to military theft, but the concept remains the same. And it is to our detriment. It makes me wonder what else the Chi-comms are copying. Cell phones?,computers?, Cars?, JBL speakers? Reverse engineering commercial and military aircraft? The list is endless, and they are not above doing it, and have been doing so for years.

    I have decided that where possible I will not purchase any Chi-comm products, but it is difficult to do. Tools and all manner of things are made by them.

    My pledge to all here though, I will not buy any Chi-comm JBL, copies not matter how attractive the price.
