    2405 recent measurement curve

I have searched a lot on the forum but I wondered what is the most recent/accurate measurement of the 2405 SPL curve.

    Hi Arno P,

Why do you expect that 2405 FR response would be changed now relative to the measurements, presented here on the Forum, previously?

    regards

The point is that I am not sure what measurment is the reference and if the measurement is done correctly (Distance/Angle) and what the matching dispersion curve(s) is(are)

They tend to vary from one sample to another

You are best to measure yourself on site

If you are looking for crossover design there are numerous posts on the forums

Go with the 4344 equivalent schematic

This schematics compensates for the impedance and response of the 2405

The ideal crossover point is around 9-10 khertz.

On dispersion refer to the 2405 data sheet.

If you are unfamiliar with the 2405 it does not behave like a dome tweeter.

This is a “super” tweeter in that it adds clarity, speed and air to compression driver applications where the compression driver diaphragm is in mass break up with high distortion modes above 7000 hertz.

    Crossed over at ~7,200 Hz.
