    Jbl 2235 reform incorrect?

I just received pair of 2235 with the foams attached to the front of the cone instead of the rears problem? Used incorrect foams. Problem?

    Well that's disappointing huh?

Two possible issues come to mind:

1 If the coil is still mid-travel in the gap at rest ie if the cone is in the correct position fore and aft? The spiders are normally flat at rest on those drivers, are they now?

2 Is the free air resonance maintained at ≈20Hz.

If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

    Hi Mike,

Lazy reconer that didn't want to go the extra mile to do the job right. It is more work but there's certainly a reason why it should be on the back side.

What's even more disapointing is that from now on the customer MUST tell the reconer how he expects the job to be done.... What a drag.
