    Love the new sound

The 1501AL-2 is faster, with at better kick, not much, but enough

The change in the crosover ( idea" stolen" from Vivaregina, 3 Ways to climp Everest ) makes a nice improvement on the horn.

    smoother, and less metalic sound.

    Cant stop smiling

Congratulations on getting those woofers and making the upgrade. In some ways it’s subtle and in others it really isn’t.

    Thanks Widget.

It was not easy to get them.

Do you know if these new x-overs in the 67000, is worth changing?
Or is it a waste of money?

    Thumbs up

    Impressive effort!

I'm glad to see you made it a two-man job, or maybe three persons including the picture taker. No one wants to see "Crushed under his Everest II" on your tombstone.
    Out.

    Thanks

    I made it a two-man job.
The third person is my wife, taking the picture of me, on my way down, and into the speaker while she is shaking her head
thinking : My good he is crasy..

That’s a tough question... equating additional cost and improved sound quality.

Aside from that, I can’t really answer the question as I still haven’t installed my DD67000 networks because of the wrestling match you are now aware of!

That said, since the original DD66000 woofers have a rising response that the DD67000 woofers do not, I have to believe you (and I for that matter) should change the networks. I also believe the newer networks also offer more finesse in the upper midrange. Your network tweak will help, but I think after going this far, these drivers deserve going all the way.

So you have the networks, lying, waiting to be installed.. - nice

How much af the network do you have? If I may ask

Is it the complet network incl the new levelcontrol, without the batteri?
Or is it perhaps "just" networks for one woofer, and the midt horn?

I believe that the major difference is in the two midt networks - or am I wrong?

I have all of the DD67000 boards, wiring, and the level adjustment panels for the front. Once everything is installed these will be DD67000s. I just haven’t dedicated a weekend to tear into my speakers which are virtually always playing.

There are quite a few changes between the two networks. Both are available on line for review, you should compare them.

Nice - If you decide that the wrestle fight is to big
Please think of me, then I'll by happy to buy your filters, and take the fight

Will you be selling the "old" woofers?

If you do not adapt the networks accordingly, this upgrade might very well be a downgrade, I think.
