    First Time Poster

    Hey Guys,

Been looking here for some time but thought that I might as well join.

I have been running 2404 tweets for some years in my two channel home system. Just love them.

Have a chance to buy two AS1028-STD subs and two 2241 HPL horn drivers. Used in a church, so I must think that they were pushed very hard.

Is this high quality gear? It looks like it!

Can anyone help with a good price range?

    thanks,
    tc

    Welcome to Lansing Heritage.

Check your numbers again as I am unclear on what you are looking at. A 2241 is an 18” bass speaker.

I dont see anything on the sub. Is it a JBL or?

Don’t worry, that stuff was only driven on Sunday! You are right to suspect, many churches have amateur sound personnel and there is a lot of whooped sound equipment that comes from churches. Painted white is icing on the cake

If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

Dual 2242 18s in the sub (I think). They'll take quite a beating but good to be cautious. They can be reconed if needed.

Compression driver 2441? Possible, but wouldn't be HPL suffix and wouldn't be contemporary with the AS sub so ... unlikely.

    pics might help.

I'd look at it from a parted-out, component-value perspective, once you have a better idea re what's being offered... as well as what you'd use them for (so you're not buying high quality boat anchors)

My bad! The horn drivers are 2446J. The sub's are AS 1028-STD with dual 2241 drivers. I would use them in my two channel home system.

    Thanks for the reply!
