Need Info on K2 S9500

Thanks for the info, Giskard. I was hesitant to use triangular ports, but it was the only way I could squeeze them onto the front baffle. In retrospect, I should have just used round ports on the rear (with the appropriate elbow bend).

The 2 cu. ft. stock volumes of the S9500 seem small. I used an Eminence design program (I think it's a re-badged Bass Box program) to come up with the volume I have. Anyway, I'll probably just build new boxes (I own the table saw and MDF is cheap!). Now all I’ve got to do is find some more time.

Sounds like a plan. If you have the room keep those boxes for your next project... you know you'll have one, we all do.

BTW: when describing your internal volumes, you didn't mention cross bracing. I hope your boxes are well braced. Even doubled up MDF needs bracing to get the most out of it.

I did use some bracing, but it wasn't a lot. I used lengths of 2x3 lumber across each side and the back. When I build the new enclosures, I will divide the boxes into two sections. Do you think a 1.5 inch MDF divider will be enough bracing, or should I add more?
