    Any information about Onkyo Scepter 2000 ?

    Hello,

    I can get a pair of rare Onkyo Scepter 2000. These are 4-ways with 15" woofer, 8" lowmid, 1" horn with lens and supertweeter. Cabinets are as big as 4343s. Maybe they were sold outside Germany under another name. Has anybody heard these speakers or has informations about performance ?

    Thank you

    HI Hjalmar,
    I stumbled upon your post yesterday.
    I own a pair and have paired it with Yamaha b-2;
    they sound very good..I am sure you won’t regret buying them for their sound quality.

    Meanwhile I have restored my Scepter 2000. These were only sold in Europe, all lettering on the l-pads is in German, but the rear says "made in Japan". All speakers are well made: 15" bass, 8" lomid, 1" AlNiCo high, plus supertweeter. The cabinets are strong and heavy. You can see the dimensions compared to my 4333. The sound is amazing ! No JBL sound, but smooth and tight. I love them !

    Your Scepter 2000s are very impressive. I had no idea that Onkyo made components like those. Are the horn drivers made by Onkyo, as well? Nice work.
