    2231h

    Hi all, Does any one know if the 2231h speaker is designed to push to the rear when connected properly? I noticed this on my 4350b. On my 2231a speakers it pushes forward. Thanks, Ken

    Hi Ken;

    I am pretty sure that by design all of the old JBL drivers cones move toward the magnet with positive applied to the red terminal of the driver.

    I think the 2012 ans 2020 were the first to make the jump to what is now considered conventional polarity.

    Barry.
    If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

    Hi Ken;

    Mine are "hacked" and have 1500AL's in them with no passive elements at all.

    Hi Ken,

    Positive voltage on the black 2231H terminal has to move the cone forward.
