Mystery Speakers? Projects or prototypes? Please help!

Hello, I have been on and off the library pages of this website for years. This is my first post! Ive owned many pairs of vintage Altec speakers and JBL speakers over the years... and I'm still looking for speakers! I think its a sickness. I recently came upon a large pair of mystery plywood cabinets filled with vintage speakers. Among the bunch were two 18" speakers that I have never seen before. Both look to be homemade... but I have no idea. Maybe made as prototypes? Any help identifying them would be a great help! After many hours of searching I have no idea what they are...
