    2461 vs LE85

    Hi,
Please post all your opinion about these two drivers.
I have a opportunity to bye two working 2461 drivers with horns and I already have two LE85 with horns.
    Should I replace my LE85 with the 2461 ?
Are 2461 a good driver ? how does it sound ?
    All advise are welcome!
    Cheers

    2461

No reason to change your drivers. The 2461 are the small 1 inch drivers with the phenoldias, so response is limited (600-8000 Hz ?).

    Home or PA

Anyone know if the LE85 was used more for home audio,
and the 2461/2345 more for PA application or

Another question was the 2461 more robust to abuse ?
I think my LE85's are sensitive....

    Le85

The LE85 (Signature Series) is the same as the 2420 (Professional Series) exept the colour and the other formed backcover. There is no difference technical.
Both drivers had the same aludia. The 2461 is for "speech range" and not used at HiFi systems. Itīs the same as the 2410 exept the dia (alu).
The HiFi version of this was called LE175.
Think the LE85 driver is the "best" of all old JBL 1 inch drivers. See Both drivers at my avatar (LE85, 2410).
