My new jbl 4350 style enclosure

    [ATTACH]77156

Hello All I have a JBL 4350 style enclosure that I want to turn into a JBL 4350 style setup.

Drivers: JBL 2235H Mid driver JBL 2206H

I'm thinking of putting another box on top full length of the cabinet with driver JBL 2446H + 2310, JBL 2426 H + 2307 high JBL 2405.

Any suggestions welcome. Cross over will need to be made as well.

Welcome to the Forum. Looks like a good start.

I always wondered if anyone would try the 2206 in a pair of 4350's. This is the route I would have went but I was never able to find a passive crossover for the 2206 specifically. DSP on the 12's and 15's in combination with the passive on top is the route I would look at now.

Some good info here if you haven't seen it yet. http://www.audioheritage.org/vbullet...55-3155-clones

Please keep us posted on the progress

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi,
Not bad but you will need an other vent. It's not just a hole... You need two 5 inch circumference foot long vent. You could damage the woofers!
    It's more like a 4355 style...

    Hi;

Looks like fun. I would skip the 2426-2307. The 2405 will meet the 2309-2310 just fine.

The integration will be the trick. Get it right and it will rock.

Oh yeah, you will want to verify the box tuning.

It will be fun to see how you go and we'll help however we can.

    All the best,
    Barry.
If we knew what the hell we were doing, we wouldn't call it research would we.

interesting cabs. I noticed there's no cut out for the HF and UHF. You could get a hartsfield type horn and put it on top of the cabs. Will look and sound awesome.

good choice on the 2235s. Great Drivers.

    enclosure

    Thanks guys for the input

i will build a top box about 20-30 cm high it will be same width and length and put the HF drivers in there. I have mounted the 2235's and the 2226. I also picked up a jbl 5234a I have 800 Hz crossover card. The cabinet is very high quality. Made by a Japanese engineering firm.i think it was a cab for extra bass. So I will need another port on the front?

Yes! Not sure about the 800Hz. With the 2235’s it’s supposed to be 290Hz 18 octaves...
