    Close But No Cigar !!!!!!!!!

    Hi Steve

Do a search on the website regarding the "Harlan".

If you are not familiar with the "Harlan", the search will give you some great info.

Drivers are dual 150-4,crossovers are N 400 and the horn is a rare H 5042

And yes the avatar is real (with more)

    Completely AWESOME!!!!!!!

I got to thinking that the 504"1"= 1" and I've never heard of 5042's, let alone SEEN one ! Some interesting items in the background too, you are a man after my own heart ! Question: I just picked up some 2395's/375's and the horn part looks like a Paragon horn, are they the same size ?

    Thanks Guys

Steve-Paragon horn was an H5038P.Measures in at 13 and 11/16 wide. by 6 and 1/2 hi.

Also the H 5041 is a TWO inch driver accepting horn that has mounting supports and was only used in the Metregon. The 5042 has no supports and was used in C35,C37,C39 and C40.

MikeBake - The item with the grill is a customers MR822 awaiting a replacement handle.I am listening to Christmas music from Minigon mountain on the fridge as I type.

I"ll post final pics when finished.

    Minigons? oui.

missed grabbing a local pair (a bit banged up & questionable driver complement)

but this link has some useful info (perhaps repeated elsewhere):

    http://membres.lycos.fr/minigon/

a further link to 'microgons' is down further on the page.

(for those with mini-facsimile fetishes... an earlier thread iirc).

    Cheers,

Fine and fun, of course, but I never came up with a reasonable application for Minigon due to configuration. Stacked doesn't seem compatible with the design intent.

Wide-screen flat panel TV presents new opportunities, however. Build a sub to match the pair and stack: sub, Minigon, screen. Theater!

Mine don't have the handsome wood slats, alas. Might could fab those, though. Hmmmmm....

These are the only pair of H5042 that I have ever seen.Grabbed them from some old trashed out Harkness (C40) enclosures.I did hear that Jammin Jersey had just one of the H5042 horns years ago.
