Do you know any history of JBL's tube amp production?
What I know is JBL produced some solid state amps in the 1960s and 1970s.
I see one called JBL 5120 tube amp on eBay.
Any idea?

Provide a link
Only thing close is a couple listings for some of those old Ampex suitcase deals with JBL speakers
I don't think JBL ever built any tube amps for sale but I could be mistaken
Post a link to what you are asking about
There were some costco cheapies by that designate "J5120" back in the early 1990s
It's in completed listings now.

In those days JBL offered a powerful sophisticated tube amp for the Hartsfield.
It was created by an external developer.
For details I should make a search.
This amp is unobtainable today I presume.

No one thought to save the photos?

Would someone please post a link to the original for sale listing if you've already found it?
Thank you

Thank you very much!
I searched completed listings using almost verbatim the ad's heading and no go - ebay is strange that way sometimes
I've had this happen before - a friend and I were on the telephone and he's giving me word for word his search criteria for a pair of speakers we were interested in - but the pair of speakers in question would absolutely not show up on my screen - not until he emailed a link and I plugged that in

Enjoyed the photos. Reminds me of an old Seeberg juke box amp I used in my first hi fi rig in the late 1950s! Actually didn't sound all bad - lots of power for those times. Turned it into a two-way rig. Needed a better enclosure. As we often say here, good hobby!
