    2206H instead of a 2214H in L100T ?

    I am building a set of L100T 'replicas' for a friend who helped my build my 4344 cabinets and I have everything now except the 2214H drivers (even found some N100T networks on eBay). He will do the raw cabinet woodwork.

    I have given up trying to find some 2214H's... hen's teeth are more common. Would 2206H be a usable substitute? Let me say my friend is not a hifi quality nut but likes loud special effects watching DVDs and loud pumping disco bass sounds of the 80's/90's era.... :-)

    thanks,
    Jarrod

    Can you squeeze LE14H-1's in there? Recone some thrashed LE14A's to make 'em if you hafta? Think L222 "Disco."

    I dunno what you'll have to tweak to make 'em work there. Someone else here will, tho, most likely.

    2206 is not an "extended bass" driver; more like mid/bass, actually....

    Fs 2206 = 52 Hz (ACK!)
    2214 = 23 Hz
    LE14 = 26 Hz
    128H = 20 Hz, but it's only 100W

    'Don't know how different the 2214H-1 might be, but Harman lists them as available: http://www.harmanaudio.com/search_br...L&MarketId=HOM

    2214H and 2214H-1 use the same recone kit. I think the only difference is the terminals. I've never bothered to study them close to notice any other physical differences.
