Is "none of the above" an option? There are numerous horns that sound better, that said each of these three has it's purpose.

Biggest difference between the two is dispersion pattern I believe. Potatoe masher conical dispersion pattern may be more amenable to sound reinforcement use than residential hifi use.

In my opinion the potato mashers have a subjectively duller sound and possibly a little honkier.
