    What glue for re-coning?

    Hi folks

Im in the need of glue for re-coning. I need glue for the spider and surrounds including a stable glue for the dust dome and this last one needs to be black
Im going to re-cone a lot of speakers from now on so Im in the need of not only one bottle/tube but several.

What could you guys recommend of glue including a good supplier that is not very expensive............

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
for the spider and fabric surrounds, i'd recommend any of the yellow colour Pattex or Uhu glues that you probably will have in you shops in Noway as well (it's still Europe, waiting for the next re-org with Trumpey-gooey rolling in to offset salmon, diesel engines, cheeses, machine tools, olive oil, wines, etc).

For surround- it depends. The foam surrounds need special glues that don't "fry" the surround material to something like gooey

Hope it helps for your location,
    Ralph

    This one might work http://www.simplyspeakers.com/

but for European import stuff it is perhaps better here:

[email protected] or eBay shop (no affiliation)

surely there's something like it in in Norway? here the Ebay "Die Soundgarage" if verything fails

Thanks guys. What I was searching for was a comment from anyone experienced reconer that has the experience with diff. types of glue and who could guide me in the "glue-jungle". Simply Speakers is one supplier of glue not really cheap, I would like to know of a supplier that is a glue supplier not from a speaker service center
And the supplier could be located in the US
