    4311B Issues

    I'm not a big fan of 4311B but I thought what the heck I'm a give another try. I can't get them to work, they sound lifeless. I want to try refinishing and see if that helps the sound. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I don't like 4311B's, but I love the 4313B's a lot more. Try laying on your side when reading this post.

    I think I see the problem. By lying on my side I have detected that you have no drivers.

    I would start there.

    You have the classic sunburst finish. Very cool.

    A little closer to the topic, I think in an attempt to improve the 4311B over the earlier versions they brought the mids' outputs down a bit in level. I remember thinking at the time when they were introduced that they sounded a bit dull and bass heavy.

    I checked out a Kenrick sound comparison
    between the 4313 w/ original an updated
    networks I had a clear opinion on which sounded
    cleaner with less filter obstruction. I'm not
    using a 035ti however in my 42 ~ 56L cabinets
    I do enjoy the 3112 over the n100, maybe look
    into an updated network, try something different
    since you already have a favorite. Maybe don't recreate
    that, try a new sound for a specific media

    You're right. Cherry sunburst would be better, so go with that instead.

    I wouldn't. Those were finely tuned diffraction hairs.

    Goodbye sunburst! Has anyone had any luck with getting these badges off without damaging them to get to the crossovers.

    How exactly were you able to compare them? On line?

    If you are asking how did I compare the 4313B to the 4311b, I own them both and have owned a minimum of 15 pairs of the 2.
