    port

Is your enclosure volume really 2.8L or 2.8 cubic feet? A 2.8 cubic foot cabinet will need a port tube(inside diameter) 3.3125" x 4.74". If your inside diameter is 3" the length is 3.68". I hope this helps.

Oh - Hard to tell what part of the comment you were referring to when you don't give specifics ...

Apparently: Harman Kardon Citation 7.4 Passive Home Theater THX Cert Subwoofer

So, I googled Citation 7.4 and found there are pictures of the Citation 7.4 when you scroll down in this old thread on AK ...

Anyway, looks like a single port in those sub boxes using the le14h-1 woofer.

But I did a copy paste to save you going there ...

Hmmm, just double, checking that heather, thanks for the reply, confirmation and link.

mr woody's suggestions is 2 ports if using 3" id tubing... I wonder the frequency. as the threads mentioned 30hz with the 4x8.

Anyone care to offer a second suggestion, could I run if needed the second port around the backs of the cabinets?
Is the smaller id port the reason for the second port?

    Thanks.

Using the Bass Box program with a tuning of 29Hz the result is one port 3" x 4.48".
