IMO, these are THE most undervalued speaker (the 1800's are nice too) ever made by JBL. They are orders of magnitude better than L100/4311, but often sell for less. Maybe it's because they look like water coolers . I use a pair for surrounds (L300's up front) and their height, small floor space, wide frequency range and dynamic capability make them perfect in that role. They have a sexy, euphonic coloration in the midrange that make female vocals sound lovely, albeit not as accurate as the big boys.
They are a bargain and pretty cool and lots of fun but not something W wants in the living room But for my children they are perfect for their playroom! I also got SVA center and SVA1600 but they will probably not be kept.
I just replaced an SVA setup. They had been in use since 1999. Well I feel like what I have now is a definite upgrade. I will always have a soft spot for those 1800's.
Of course there arr much better alternatives but this whole set costs almost the same as a single M2 horn without drivers
SVA2100 is the Star in the series but the others are also quite OK in My opinion
