I have the l15/554 and n580 drivers. All original. Crossovers seem to be a good quality with mkt 3.3uf and something that looks like siemens mkp 6.8uf. Standard german resistors and sealed coils. All mounted on pcb.
I was asking myself if small tuning like changing caps for some paper in oil or using duelund tinned copper wire would improve the sq.?
I just watched the opening battle scene from Gladiator and the dynamics just took my breath away. Voice quality from the center channel is also very good without any harshness. I remember jbl 3678 sounding spectacular with voices, kinoton seems to sound similar and what I call as organic.
Also quality unplugged concerts like Friend n Fellow sound very very Hifi. Thomas Fellows guitar strings sound very subtile an extremely involving...or am I nuts?
