    Kickstarter. I just wonder how they keep the platter on axis.

    Or if they even have a working prototype. My thoughts are that if this was feasible the big boys would have done it decades ago.

    Its all over Facebook LOL .... I've played around with magnets .... the space between opposing fields remains constant . There is no play or give . The notion that somehow the platter is isolated from vibration by a cushion created by the magnetic field is really sweet .....

    The only way to achieve the levitation is to maintain the spinning of the object being levitated .

    I wonder about the effects of the magnetic field on the cartridge, much less the whole levitation/drive challenge.
