JBL M2 DIY and 2 CROWN I TECH 5000HD and LYNX STUDIO AES cable

    Hello ,

I've built a pair of M2 and bought 2 Crown i tech 5000 hd. They are no finished yet , but they sound very well.

    I've also have a Pc with a soundcard , a Lynx Studio 2b with a AES cable .

I don't know how to go, how to link the Aes cable to the 2 amps ?

    Could you help me ?

    Regards , Vincent.

Hi Vincent, and welcome on the forum

There is an AES/EBU through connector on the amp, so you simply need to go from your soundcard to one unit, and then from that unit to the second one.

Regarding your clones, if they are not dimensionally 100% accurate you might have to tweak the high Q EQ points around 200Hz, or simply remove them.

This is what i've done :

Linked the 2 amps with a Vovox AES cable

On the first amp : Advanced Menu , AES 1

On the second amp : Advanced Menu , AES 2

The sound is very good, i can bypass my Theta Casablanca iii hd .
