Are these genuine JBL cone kits?

Please see the attached pictures of my LE14H-1's from 250TI's and advise if they are genuine cone kits. I think the front of the cone is aquaplased but the coils look a little suspect, I don't remember the formers being red.

One is rattling but it doesn't sound like a voice coil scrap, more like a piece of paper vibrating. It is seriously pissing me off.

The pictures do indicate the likelihood of of being OEM.

Are these woofers some you've just had done?
What is the printed number on the cone?

They were in my 250TI's I imported from Canada.

There is no number under the cone. I am no expert but it just looked like aquaplas on the front of the cone but am unsure.

Can anyone else confirm the heritage of the cones and coils?

How close are those tinsel leads to the cone? Aquaplas on both sides?

Don't know what your goal or end game is at this late stage but if you really need to know then quit screwing around and send the problem woofer to someone like Upland Loudspeaker Service, possibly the best of what's left out there to choose from
They can not only answer any and all questions you might have as to authenticity but can probably fix that rattling or vibrating or whatever it is

Just going by your photos, which are very poor by the way, I'd say that the glue jobs that I can see are not JBL factory, at the spider, surround or the dust cap. I don't know if the parts are real or not, sorry. Never had a JBL factory part that didn't have a number on it, either printed or tagged

For sure they do NOT look like factory glue jobs and with no number on the back they are highly suspect.

Had confirmation from Edgewound that they are original.

No number on the back as it is covered by the aquaplas. There has obviously been some sort of repair done at some stage.

    Thanks guy.

There's something written on the back in the third pic.

Sorry mate I should have been more specific.

There is no factory part number on the cone as it has been covered.

The glue areas you comment upon are made by the reconer (not by JBL) - whomever did that work was not so skilled.

There is the tell-tail handwriting on the rear of the cone in one photo.

Wasn't personal, they're just blurry and out of focus except for one

So on that we agree, I merely pointed it out as a clue, not a conclusive indictment as to the originality of the cones in and of itself but rather an indication that his drivers had definitely had something done to them by someone other than JBL (or at least hopefully it wasn't their work)

I saw that, but the question remained briefly to be answered still was who wrote it and on what until an expert pitched in

It's nice that Edgewound knows his stuff well enough to answer the OP's original question, even with the blurry photos. He's a talent all can be grateful to have around
I am happy he was able to put the question to rest, good parts, bad workmanship
