    Vintage gear questions. System selectors

Hi im looking to add a vintage system selector to my rig.
Could anyone please elaborate their use, and what I can expect from one.
I m a tidy person, I see the piece as a hub basically adding more inputs
Am I correct in my assumptions.
The pioneer u24 & sony sb 5335 come to mind.

Interesting.... I didn't even realize this category of equipment existed.

Therefore I obviously can't help but I certainly appreciate your bringing this up… it is always fun to learn about new (old) things.

These are devices that are primarily designed for use in stores to switch between demo Equipment.
Several manufacturers make them in different sizes.

Yes you can use it the way you wanted.

I'd love to see what the rear panel on that Sony looks like!

    Isn't Google amazing?

I believe those speaker connectors would drive me even crazier than I am now!
". . . as you have no doubt noticed, no one told the 4345 that it can't work correctly so it does anyway."—Greg Timbers

Yeesh. Get your contact cleaner ready for an all-nighter. Lol.

I've only seen semi-custom setups like this (thinking Pacific Stereo in the 70's)
along with stern looks from the proprietor should fingers walk that direction.
Had no idea they were even close to a mainstream product. Nice idea for a museum
    (formal or personal/functional).
