JBL EN5 Enclosure for Home Use

I see from post here that JBL made EN8/5/3 enclosure that, from what I read, was for commercial use. I have a line on a pair of
EN5 enclosures that have home audio components. Were these enclosures for home use and loaded with what ever the buyer wanted?
I see in the brochure the enclosure and the suggested load but not with these components..
Always wanted to hear a three way system..Thanks

Yes. They became part of the Loudspeaker Component Series.

It was up to the customer to buy the ENx cabinet and choice of components, then install the components in the cabinet.

That would be a cakewalk, and so much fun.

Well I picked them up from an earlier members's post "identify these JBL's" and like what I hear so far.
I pulled the LE15A's out for refoam and everything works... I will clean them up, but the are in pretty good condition.

I cant wait to get them up and running...!

    Thanks

It would be fairly straightforward to use JBL 2235H or 2231H or A woofers instead of the LE15A woofers and build L300 type (or the Nelson Pass versions, essentially make these speakers into a very good quasi L300, might image better since they are taller. Selling off the LE15s and 075 for 2235H and 2405 slots or 2404 baby butt tweeters plus the other crossovers might actually net you some money. That would be the most direct way to create known quantity speakers. Of course, other drivers and combinations are other options if you want to experiment.

so what have you done since you acquired the speakers? Did you have to drive to Sacramento to get them?
