Funny how the h-1 is $15 cheaper than the regular h on this driver currently. Both are in stock.
    DIY Array, 2242 sub, 4408, 4208, Control 8SR, E120 Guitar cab, Control 1, LSR305.

I am not sure about the validity of this data. But it looks like the idea might be to get flatter response without the use of any EQ. Both look pretty good to me.

I think the 2216Nd-1 is more suitable for domestic use, the compliance of the suspension (Cms) is 2 times less hard.

    Cms 2216Nd-1 : 0.285 mm/N
    Cms 2216Nd : 0.144 mm/N
    Cms 2235H : 0.405 mm/N
    Cms 2226H : 0.160 mm/N

Is there a way to validate voice coil material?

As in, does it retain the low TCR coil from the base model? A woofer with an F3 at 40 in 5.2 cubes is pretty great, and the softer suspension is definitely a plus for the excursion levels expected in-home.

Power compression curves from the 4367 white paper are very impressive, comparable to those of the 4435, so it probably also use that same "magic" wire material.

which one do you think is better for 2-way system 1501Fe or 2216Nd-1?
do you think at you can tune 2216Nd-1 lower than 1501Fe?

    after simulation :

1501fe play in little volume, 46Hz -6dB in 48 Litres

    2216Nd-1 => 28Hz -6dB in 243L or 33Hz -6dB in 156L

For me the 2216Nd-1 is better on the paper, more bass extension, low Le, low mms, double coil and easy available.

Ari, I have no idea, never used any 1500 variant
IIRC the 4367 is said to be an improvement over the 4365 in the bass department.

The 2216nd-1 would be light-years better, you know it! (and sell your other pair of 1501fe to me)

    Can the 2242h (18inch I know) replace the 2216 in a M2 clone?
    All digital crossovers.

You might be able to fit a Chevy truck body on a Corvette frame, but you won't have a very good Corvette or a very good truck.

Why on earth would you even consider doing that? For maximum SPL, or that is what you have? If SPL is your goal, there are better ways, if that is what's on hand, sell the 2242Hs and cough up the difference.
