    Well, an irreversible modification with the inset horn and probably cut away of the 077 mounting point and upper woofer area. So baffle is borked unless one cuts and inserts a new one. In my opinion, ruinous of the original cabinets although externally they still look good.

    IMO, a whole lot easier to mod or duplicate the 4430 and add the 077 on top if you desire that, or better yet, use a 2404H for similar UHF dispersion. Much easier to modify the 4430 crossover as well. Refer to Dave Smith comments on the 4430 in the product gallery. Sure, it doesn't have the L300 sexy cabinet, but it would have been much nicer to recreate rather than modify a true original.

    And we don't even know what comp driver is being used either. Not sure this constitutes any improvement design wise.
